About this site... « Thread Started on Jul 27, 2009, 9:01pm »
I started this board about 5 years ago in 2004.
Back then until recently this place was known as the 'Unofficial Rapala Message Board' - and I guess it still is, since this site is not affiliated with Rapala, Normark, or Rapala VMC in any way.
When I started the site we only had a handful of members - now we are rapidly approaching 600 members, and currently get close to 4000 hits per month.
I know its not much, but the Rapala lure is transcendent of all nations and languages - sold the world over, every fisherman in the world usually has one thing in common - fishing Rapala lures.
And that's what this site is about - fishing Rapala lures, or just fishing in general. We also have a very hardcore group of collectors here - I can guarantee you will see pictures of lures on this site you have never seen before in your life.
We have several different promos and giveaway we do each month, and if you own a tackle shop or site, we can use your help with donations. In return for your donations, we will advertise your site as best as we can.
If you are interested in advertising on this site, we are looking for a few good sponsors for this site to help us with our promotions. If you are interested, drop me a line at RapalaNation@gmail.com.

I found a Rapala lure when I was in grade school. I quickly became a Rapala die-hard when I saw how many more big fish I was catching. And now ~40+ years later, 80% of my tackle box is Rapala, and 80% of my casts are with a Rapala lure on the line. I new a larger tackle box to keep up with all the new colors!

First of all - welcome
I don't think that you need a new tackle box - save your money for a basement refit - ask bacon Seriously though, you really need to watch yourself if you start to collect Rapalas, even just a few to start with , you will soon need more than a large tackle box
